Advancing Responsible AI through Research, Dialogue and Education

About
the Centre

The Canadian Centre for Responsible AI Governance is an independent, non-partisan initiative dedicated to advancing research and dialogue on the governance of artificial intelligence in Canada.

The Centre brings together policymakers, researchers, industry participants, and civil society to examine how AI systems intersect with law, institutions, and public trust. Its work is grounded in the view that effective AI governance emerges through careful analysis, open discussion, and attention to real-world risk.

The Centre focuses on convening and research rather than advocacy. By creating space for informed and principled engagement, it aims to strengthen Canada’s capacity to manage the risks of artificial intelligence while supporting responsible innovation in the public interest.
